Strengthening Global Partnerships: Welcoming Visitors from the UK (NPTC Group of Colleges) to Experience EACDT in Action
Welcoming NPTC Group of Colleges to EACDT
EACDT was honoured to host a visiting group from the United Kingdom, NPTC Group of Colleges, who recently spent time with our programme across multiple partner schools in Nairobi.
Their visit marked an important step in strengthening international partnerships, sharing knowledge, and showcasing the impact of our Character Development Through Sport model.
A Hands-On Experience Across Our Schools
Over the course of their stay, the NPTC group engaged directly with our partner schools, spending full days at each location. These visits included Character Education sessions, cricket, and other sports activities, giving them a genuine, first-hand experience of how our programme is delivered on the ground.
From Unity Primary School to Kawangware Primary School, each visit highlighted the unique environments our young people learn in, and the shared values that continue to shape their growth.
Bringing Character Education to Life
A key highlight of the visit was the opportunity to witness our Character Education framework in action. Learners actively engaged in discussions around real-life challenges such as drug abuse, peer pressure, respect, discipline, and social responsibility.
Students confidently took the lead, presenting, discussing, and demonstrating how they apply key character traits such as integrity, resilience, responsibility, and respect in their daily lives.
This experience reinforced what makes EACDT unique: we do not simply teach character, we create environments where it is lived, practiced, and experienced every day.
Sport as a Tool for Transformation
Beyond the classroom, the visitors participated in and even led cricket sessions and other sports activities, connecting directly with the learners on the field.
Through these sessions, the powerful link between sport and character was clearly demonstrated, showing how teamwork, discipline, accountability, and leadership are developed through play.
Moments of shared learning, laughter, and collaboration created lasting impressions for both our visitors and our beneficiaries.
Building for the Future
This visit was more than an exchange, it was a meaningful step towards building long-term relationships that can strengthen our programme and expand opportunities for our young people.
We are deeply grateful to NPTC Group of Colleges for their time, energy, and willingness to engage so openly with our programme. Their contribution added great value, and their presence was truly appreciated by both our team and the learners.
As EACDT continues to collaborate with international partners, we remain committed to creating pathways that allow young people to grow, both on and off the field.
Thank you, NPTC, for being part of our journey.
Together, we are #ChangingLivesThroughSports.
