Kenya Lose Captain & Coach

Kenyan national cricket team captain Collins Obuya has resigned citing the country`s failure to qualify for the 2014 Twenty20 World Cup. Cricket Kenya has chosen Rakeep Patel to replace Obuya. Cricket Kenya CEO, Kobus Olivier, confirmed Obuya`s resignation and disclosed that the national coach, Zimbabwean Robin Brown, had quit due to personal reasons. Former World Cup veteran Steve Tikolo has been named as interim coach.

Kenya failed in its quest to qualify for the event after losing six consecutive matches to Afghanistan.
